Leah Culver, founder of the (now defunct after being acquired by Six Apart) startup Pownce, posted an (admittedly rather silly) code snippet in her blog. This caused a huge amount of vicious criticism, much of it sexist. This kind of reaction contributes strongly to the phenomenon of Stereotype threat.

The title of this entry is a play on an xkcd which relates to this incident.
