Hacker culture is the term used for intersecting communities of people who are interested in creative uses of technology and/or circumventing computer security.

Hacker conferences include:

• DEFCON
• ShmooCon
• ToorCon
• Hackers on Planet Earth

There are also Hacker spaces which are workshops where hackers come together to build stuff. Some hacker spaces have events for women.
