Technology industry
In the Technology industry, internships are commonly (but not always) paid.
There are some specific internship programs aimed at women and other under-represented groups in technology or in specific subfields such as Open Source Software. These include:
- Outreachy
- Google Summer of Code
- RailsGirls Summer of Code
Internships are also offered by some Code schools as part of their program.
