Jessica McKellar is a Director for the Python Software Foundation and an organizer for Boston Python, the largest Python user group in the world. With Boston Python she runs the Boston Python Workshop, a programming pipeline that has introduced Python to over 600 women in the local community and increased representation by women at Boston Python events from 2% to 15%.

Jessica is also a Twisted maintainer and wrote the 2nd edition of Twisted Networking Essentials and a chapter on Twisted for The Architecture of Open Source Applications, Volume II. She is currently working on the 4th edition of Linux Device Drivers with O'Reilly.

She received the O'Reilly Open Source Award in 2013 for her contributions to the Python community.

Jessica is a frequent conference speaker; some of her talks include a Kiwi PyCon 2013 keynote, PyCon Canada 2012 keynote, DjangoCon Europe 2012 keynote, and numerous technical and community-focused talks and tutorials.
