Codementor quotes[]

Is the section with the Codementor quotes really relevant to the subject of the article? It seems kind of contrived - the part of the interview in question sounds like a reference to the merits of the Perl programming language rather than anything to do with this arrest. -(Unsigned comment left by 24.63.250.113)

Given the circumstances (namely Schwern's DV arrest and related legal matters), the Codementor folks are either oblivious or making a decidedly tasteless joke. It's not clear which is the case, but at any rate, that's why those snippets are present in the article. RickScott (talk) 05:52, June 27, 2014 (UTC)
With or without out the context Rick has just mentioned, I think the inclusion of these comments paints Geek Feminsim as judgmental and speculative, and I don't think this is a productive image to cultivate. Tasteless jokes or not, we should stick to the facts: There were allegations. There has been an ongoing and nasty legal battle, and it is an all-around shitty situation. In the wake of Nóirín's tragic death, this page is likely to get a lot more traction, and I feel it is important to the image of the site to refrain from anything other than impartial reporting of the facts as they directly relate to the allegations. -AW 198.148.79.134 14:59, August 3, 2015 (UTC)

Amount Of Damages[]

2015/07/29 had an anon edit that changed the damages amount from $30M to $6M; The linked suit says: $1M for economic damages plus $5M for non-economic damages plus 4 times (the sum of both) for punative damages [4*$6M = $24M; $24M+$6M = $30M], plus legal costs. I think the amount should state $30M+. User:robbat2 15:04, July 30, 2015 (UTC)
